Metallis Taps Veteran Geologist Dr. Webb to Spearhead Greyhound Project
VANCOUVER, BC β December 29, 2025 β Metallis Resources Inc. (TSXV: MTS) (OTCQB: MTLFF) has announced a significant enhancement of its technical leadership, appointing long-standing director Dr. David Webb to the role of Technical Advisor. The move signals a strategic intensification of efforts at the company's Greyhound Property in Idaho and is coupled with a new communications initiative aimed at increasing market awareness ahead of a pivotal 2026 exploration season.
Dr. Webb's expanded role is a cornerstone of the update, reflecting his increased availability and deep commitment to the project's success. As a director, he has been a key figure in the company's regulatory navigation for years. Now, his extensive geological expertise will be directly applied to the exploration and development of the Greyhound project.
"We're very happy to be able to add Dr. Webb to our technical team," commented Fiore Aliperti, President and CEO of Metallis. "As a director he has provided invaluable input over the years on the regulatory side of the Company. With his addition to the technical team, he brings a wealth of experience with the type of mineralization displayed at the Greyhound project. The fact we're now able to tap into his vast geological experience is great news for Metallis."
A Technical Powerhouse for a Promising Asset
The appointment is more than a title change; it's a strategic alignment of world-class expertise with a high-potential asset. Dr. Webb is a registered Professional Geologist and Professional Engineer with over three decades of experience in mineral exploration and project development. His career is highlighted by major discoveries, including identifying the largest granitic-hosted gold deposit in the Northwest Territories and the largest gold find in the Yellowknife Greenstone Belt in 30 years.
His specialization in structural and geochemical controls on gold mineralization is particularly relevant. The Greyhound property's value is locked within structurally controlled, polymetallic vein systems. Dr. Webb's proven ability to decipher such complex geological puzzles and advance projects through critical phases like resource delineation and engineering studies is precisely what Metallis needs to unlock Greyhound's potential. His transition from a board member to an active technical advisor allows the company to leverage his specific skill set more directly in planning and executing the upcoming exploration and deposit-definition work.
The Greyhound Project: Echoes of a Giant
Located in Custer County, Idaho, the Greyhound Property sits in a historically rich mining district, just 35 kilometers south of Perpetua Resources' notable Stibnite Mine. The area was a bustling silver mining camp in the early 1900s, with two mines and a smelter operating along the 3.5 km Greyhound shear zone. Metallis optioned the property in February 2024, drawn by its compelling geology.
The mineralization at Greyhound is characterized by polymetallic quartz-sulphide veins rich in gold, silver, lead, zinc, and notably, antimonyβa designated critical mineral essential for technology and defense applications. This diverse metal content enhances the project's economic potential in a world increasingly focused on securing strategic resources.
Metallis has highlighted geological similarities between Greyhound and the prolific Lucky Friday Mine in northern Idaho, operated by Hecla Mining. Both deposits feature vein mineralization as fracture-fillings and tabular masses of galena and tetrahedrite within a gangue of siderite, calcite, and quartz. The Lucky Friday vein system is a singular, near-vertical body with a strike length of up to 450 meters and widths varying from centimeters to six meters. While Metallis prudently cautions that these similarities do not guarantee comparable results, the geological analogue provides a powerful and successful model for guiding exploration at Greyhound. Understanding the structural controls that created a long-lived, high-grade mine like Lucky Friday could be the key to unlocking similar value at Greyhound.
Boosting Communications and Investor Outreach
To ensure the market is fully apprised of its technical advancements and strategic plans, Metallis has also bolstered its communications efforts. The company recently engaged Mr. Robert M. Sinn to provide communication services for a six-month period. Mr. Sinn, a well-recognized macroeconomic analyst and content creator at Goldfinger Capital, specializes in the precious metals and junior mining sectors. His role will involve creating promotional videos, editorial coverage, and disseminating news to a targeted investor audience.
This engagement, for which Mr. Sinn received a cash fee of US$15,000, is designed to enhance the company's visibility and articulate its value proposition more effectively. The agreement does not include any performance factors, shares, or options, and Mr. Sinn holds no current interest in Metallis securities. This move complements a recent corporate interview with Goldfinger Capital where management detailed the history of the Greyhound Property, discussed the 2025 drill program, and outlined exploration plans for 2026.
By combining a strengthened technical team with a proactive communications strategy, Metallis is setting the stage for a transformative year. The appointment of Dr. Webb provides the in-house expertise to intelligently advance the Greyhound asset, while the engagement of Mr. Sinn ensures that the story of that progress will be heard by the market. With a clear focus on its high-potential Idaho project and a dual portfolio that includes the Kirkham Property in British Columbia's Golden Triangle, the company is positioning itself for significant activity and potential discovery in the year ahead.
