Lotusia's Architect: Tao Drives Cross-Border Growth and Community Impact

SINGAPORE – December 23, 2025 – As Lotusia Group enters a new phase of strategic growth, the firm is solidifying its focus on cross-border expansion, digital innovation, and community impact under the expanded leadership of Co-CEO Jacob Tao. The Singapore-headquartered advisory firm is not only deepening its core services connecting China and ASEAN markets but also venturing into wealth management and pioneering a new digital compliance platform, positioning itself as a holistic partner for businesses and entrepreneurs across Asia.

Since his appointment in 2024, Mr. Tao has been instrumental in shaping the company's trajectory. His continued leadership signals an acceleration of Lotusia’s strategy to integrate high-touch advisory with scalable technology, all while embedding a strong ethos of corporate social responsibility into its operations. "Jacob has played a pivotal role in shaping Lotusia's identity as a trusted connector between Singapore, China and Southeast Asia," said Huo Jincheng, CEO of Lotusia Group. "His deep expertise in cross-border structuring, government-to-business engagement and ecosystem-building has enabled us to support fast-growing companies while contributing meaningfully to society."

Forging Digital and Financial Frontiers

Central to Lotusia's next chapter is Bizzkey, its proprietary digital incorporation and compliance platform. Launched in November 2025 and set to debut at the Singapore FinTech Festival, Bizzkey is designed to streamline the traditionally cumbersome process of setting up and managing a business across borders. By leveraging AI-driven solutions, the platform integrates company registration, automated statutory filings with Singapore's ACRA, and fintech-enabled multi-currency business accounts into a single, paperless interface.

This digital transformation aims to address a critical pain point for fast-growing companies, particularly those in digital commerce and professional services. By turning a weeks-long process into a seamless digital experience, Lotusia aims to make market entry more transparent and efficient. "Our goal is to turn policy intent into operational reality," Jacob Tao stated. "Lotusia's strength lies in giving founders clarity and confidence as they scale across borders."

Parallel to its technological push, Lotusia is making a significant move into wealth management. The firm has secured a Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) license in Hong Kong, a crucial step that allows it to operate in one of the world's fastest-growing cross-border wealth hubs. With plans to establish a dedicated wealth management team in Singapore, Lotusia is strategically positioning itself to serve the entire lifecycle of its entrepreneurial clients—from corporate structuring and business growth to long-term wealth preservation and succession planning. This expansion taps into a burgeoning market, as Asia-Pacific's demand for sophisticated wealth services continues to surge, driven by the needs of high-net-worth families seeking integrated global solutions.

Strengthening the China-ASEAN Corridor

Lotusia's strategic initiatives are deeply rooted in the strengthening economic ties between China and Southeast Asia, particularly through the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI). Launched in 2015, the CCI has become a vital government-to-government project enhancing financial, logistical, and digital connectivity between Singapore and China's western region. The initiative has catalyzed over US$21 billion in cross-border financing and established the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor as a key artery for the Belt and Road Initiative.

Within this powerful framework, Mr. Tao has been a key figure, actively leading business delegations and facilitating exchanges to help high-growth founders navigate the ASEAN market. Lotusia’s role as the official operator of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) One-Stop Internationalisation Platform underscores its central position in translating the high-level policy goals of the CCI into tangible business opportunities. This deep involvement in regional ecosystem-building provides the firm with unparalleled insights and connectivity, which it channels to its clients.

Before joining Lotusia, Mr. Tao's career was already focused on building these bridges. He supported Chinese tech firms in establishing their Singapore headquarters and co-organized SME Exchange Summits, consistently working to bolster Singapore's status as a global business hub. His work in 2022 to onboard his previous firm into the Singapore Economic Development Board's Connections Concierge further cemented his reputation as a builder of cross-border ecosystems.

A Dual Mandate of Business and Community

Beyond the boardroom, Jacob Tao has cultivated a parallel commitment to social and cultural development, demonstrating a leadership model where business success and community contribution are intertwined. As the newly appointed President of the Lions Club of Singapore Lotusia, a chapter established in 2023, he is expanding the club's outreach with a focus on structured, inclusive philanthropy.

One of his flagship initiatives, "Inclunema," offers a sensory-friendly cinema experience for children with intellectual disabilities. In a recent collaboration with MINDS Raintree Special Student Care Centre, the club hosted an outing where theatre lighting and sound were adjusted for comfort, creating a welcoming environment where every child could feel included. Another project, "Little Hands, Big Joy," showcased handmade Christmas crafts from the students at a community club, bringing their creativity to the public and fostering a sense of pride and connection.

These initiatives are guided by a clear philosophy. "CSR should be part of how we operate, not an afterthought. It must be meaningful, accessible and community-led," Mr. Tao explained. This belief is also reflected in his long-standing support for bilateral cultural exchange. Since 2022, he has made annual donations of a Chinese prose anthology to the National Institute of Education (NIE) to support literary appreciation. In 2023, he sponsored a cultural seminar series with the historic Goh Loo Club to promote heritage and dialogue between Singapore and China.

Looking ahead, Lotusia plans to deepen its engagement with educational institutions through industry talks and mentorship, aiming to nurture a new generation of globally aware graduates. This holistic approach—integrating business acumen with digital innovation and a profound sense of social duty—defines the next phase for Lotusia Group. As it expands its services and regional footprint, the firm's trajectory suggests that building bridges, whether for commerce or community, remains at the core of its mission.
