NEW YORK – Rezolve AI (NASDAQ: RZLV) is making bold claims about the future of e-commerce, positioning itself as a pioneer in a new era of “agentic commerce” – a concept where AI agents autonomously handle shopping on behalf of consumers. A recent press release trumpeted an endorsement from Amazon CEO Andy Jassy, suggesting the retail giant sees this as the “next great transformation” in online shopping. But beneath the hype, a closer look reveals a nascent technology, an undefined industry term, and a company striving for recognition in a crowded AI landscape.
Rezolve AI describes its technology as a three-layered system: SmartPay for digital asset payments, Subsquid for blockchain data solutions, and Brainpowa, an AI reasoning engine. The company envisions a future where these components work together to create a seamless, autonomous shopping experience, freeing consumers from the tedium of browsing and decision-making.
However, verifying the core claim of Amazon’s endorsement proved elusive. Despite the press release’s assertion, a search of financial news outlets and Amazon’s investor relations website yielded no confirmation of a public statement from Jassy on the topic. The Q3 2025 earnings call, referenced as the source of the statement, is still months away, leaving the claim unsubstantiated.
